Since graduating from the University of North Dakota Law School in 1977, Larry Stern has practiced exclusively in criminal and civil litigation. For four years, he served as Chief Assistant State's Attorney for Cass County, during which time he tried the full range of criminal cases from misdemeanors to felonies. One of his felony cases was a well-published murder trial in which Larry successfully obtained a conviction.
Larry has specialized in personal injury litigation since 1982, representing clients in 25 states and trying cases to juries in 10 states. He won a $450,000 jury award for a client in Rock Island, Illinois-the largest verdict obtained in that jurisdiction.
Larry also served as a director of the Legal Aid Association and was a delegate to the National American Bar Association Convention. He belongs to several professional organizations and has lectured at legal seminars, union meetings and before student groups. Larry is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and North Dakota.
