Duncan McIntyre began his work in personal injury serving as a law clerk with Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben and then commenced working as a trial lawyer after obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School. During law school, Duncan’s course load focused heavily on learning the skills needed to be a great trial lawyer. As a result, he completed the Civil Litigation Concentration program that highlighted pretrial case development, depositions, and advanced trial practice. Prior to law school, Duncan graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota. Duncan is licensed to practice in Minnesota.
Duncan’s focus will be all aspects of personal injury litigation including car and truck collisions, motorcycle crashes and general liability cases. He practices personal injury law because it enables him to work directly with real people that need help. For Duncan, every day at Schwebel, Goetz and Sieben is another opportunity to help someone who has been injured through no fault of their own.

I’m a Twin Cities native, growing up only a few minutes from downtown Minneapolis. I graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 2015, where I played varsity Football and Lacrosse. After high school I started college at North Dakota State University, eventually moving to the University of Minnesota – Duluth where I graduated Summa Cum Laude in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in History. From the fall of 2019 to the spring of 2022, I attended law school at the University of Minnesota Law School, completing the Civil Litigation Concentration.
I started my career with Schwebel, Goetz, and Sieben in 2017, over spring break as a sophomore in college. Following then I have spent my summers working at the firm, continuing to work part time during the school year. After completing my undergraduate degree, I transitioned from an Office Assistant to a Law Clerk, expanding my role within the firm. Through my time at Schwebel, Goetz, and Sieben, I have learned numerous skills, enabling me to understand each part of the litigation process, from the ground up.
For me, helping injured people makes every day valuable. By working at nearly every position this firm has to offer, I have seen firsthand how a great attorney can provide comfort to somebody going through the worst time in their life. From my first day at Schwebel, Goetz and Sieben, I have known that I could never find another job as fulfilling as this one. It is a privilege to work with people, who have had their lives completely turned upside down, by no fault of their own. As an Attorney, I put the skills I have learned in my years at this firm to use, making sure each one of my clients feels supported.
Outside of the office I enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, like camping, golfing, and grilling. When the Minnesota weather is less forgiving, I enjoy cheering on the Green Bay Packers, learning about new technology, and brewing a mean pot of coffee.
