“Minnesota Top Ten Trial Lawyer”

The National Law Journal has named James R. Schwebel as one of the Top 10 civil litigators in Minnesota, and wrote that he is considered "one of the nations most prominent and successful trial lawyers."

In compiling the list, the National Law Journal considered litigators with at least one significant bench or jury trial win in the last 10 years and a history of notable victories over several years. The deciding factor in finalizing this year’s "Winning" list, however, was that each attorney selected employed unique strategies at trial and connected with judges and juries in such a way that proved critical to their success.

The National Law Journal singled out Mr. Schwebel for his role as lead attorney for Minnesotans who lost family members in the Galaxy Airlines crash in Reno, Nevada. He represented the plaintiffs in lawsuits arising from the MGM Hotel fire in Las Vegas and the Williams Pipeline explosion in Roseville, Minnesota. Schwebel is the founder and lead litigator of his firm, the state’s largest law practice specializing in personal injury litigation. He represents only plaintiffs and has had nearly fifty recoveries of $1 million or more.
