Marketing Director Tammy Offerman Featured in this Month’s Legal Marketing Association Newsletter

November 2011

Tammy Offerman
Director of Marketing
Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben, P.A.

What do you spend most of your time doing at work?
The best part of my job is that no two days are exactly alike! In a boutique firm, I handle all aspects of marketing from TV & Radio budgets, print advertising, our website, social media; the list is endless. Basically, anything that showcases the incredibly talented group of people that I have the good fortune of working with.

What are the three most valuable things about LMA for you?
#1 – For me, where one has to be a jack of all trades, LMA-MN is a great resource.
#2 – At the monthly meetings, I can see what is being implemented or explored by other firms. That’s huge for someone who doesn’t have "staff" in their marketing department, that support system.
#3 – It really becomes exciting when the regional conference is in town! I get a huge boost when attending the sessions and the opportunity to interact with other marketing professionals.

Who are you often mistaken for?
I would love to know! When I’m out and about, people seem to give me an extra look like "Do I know her?" I just assume I have something on my face or worse.

What is your guilty pleasure?
Angie’s Kettle Corn. I have had my husband dash out to replenish my stash when it’s gone. Costco now sells it in a huge bag, I’m in heaven.

What song on your iPod would most surprise people?
Lose Yourself by Eminem. Even with the colorful language, it has a powerful message.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Besides being married 23 years and my two beautiful daughters, this past June I completed a ½ Ironman triathlon; 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run. Finished in just over 6 ½ hours, ate a whole bag of kettle corn when I was done!

How do you want to be remembered?
For my sense of humor, since I think I am the funniest person I know. Also that I set an example for others that if you want something – Go for It! You will be amazed at what you can accomplish!

If you died today, what should we put on your tombstone?
TO (Tammy Offerman) Rocked!
