Thirteen Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben Attorneys Selected as 2025 Minnesota Super Lawyers
July 2025
Minneapolis, MN – July 15, 2025 – Personal injury law firm Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben is pleased to announce that 13 of its attorneys have been named to the 2025 Minnesota Super Lawyers list. An additional three attorneys from the firm have been named to the 2025 Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for a total of 16 out of 20 attorneys having received special designations in Super Lawyers associated publications. This high number of lawyers on the lists is especially notable considering the ranking service only names 5 percent maximum of all Minnesota litigators as Super Lawyers, and less than 2.5 percent of the state’s litigators earn a place on the Rising Stars list.
The firm’s Minnesota Super Lawyers list for 2025 includes the following attorneys along with the number of years the designation has been awarded: James Ballentine (of counsel) (23), Cole Dixon (3), Aaron Eken (5), Paul Godlewski (of counsel) (27), John Goetz (31), Max Hacker (21), Courtney Lawrence (5), Peter Riley (30), James Schwebel (33), Jessica Servais (2), Alicia Sieben (2), William Sieben (31) and Richard Tousignant (27). Additionally, four attorneys were previously named Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Stars, including Cole Dixon (8), Aaron Eken (7), Courtney Lawrence (10) and Alicia Sieben (12).
The Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Stars list is a separate ranking category for attorneys who have demonstrated high-level service who are not older than 40 or have practiced law for 10 years or less. The firm’s Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2025 are Kojo Addo (4), Duncan McIntyre (1) and Cody Scharpf (4). This is the first year Duncan McIntyre has received the Rising Star designation.
Founding partner James Schwebel commented, “It is gratifying to have so many of our attorneys acknowledged for their exceptional talent and service to their clients.”
Newly designated Minnesota Super Lawyer Rising Star Duncan McIntyre elaborated on this success by saying, “I am honored to receive this designation from my colleagues in the personal injury profession. This award is only possible because of the support I receive from my incredible team, along with the mentoring, teaching, and assistance I receive from the many incredible lawyers of Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben. With their help, I will continue to grow as an attorney, to better represent those who have suffered as the result of another’s negligence.”
The list published by Super Lawyers is an external review of legal practitioners built on standards similar to Consumer Reports, and has an aggregate Minnesota readership of 354,400 people. Results come from peer nominations, independent research and third-party feedback. The panel evaluates candidates in 12 different categories, such as verdicts, community service, writings and special certifications. The law firm of Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben has been serving the seriously injured for over 50 years, and much of the legal team has practiced law for decades with a combined total of over 500 years of experience fighting for the rights of car accident and personal injury victims.
