Thirteen Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben Attorneys Selected as 2024 Minnesota Super Lawyers

July 2024

Super Lawyers 2024Minneapolis, MN – July 15, 2024 – Personal injury law firm Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben is pleased to announce that 13 of its attorneys have been named to the 2024 Minnesota Super Lawyers list. An additional two attorneys from the firm have been named to the 2024 Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for a total of 15 out of 19 attorneys having received special designations in Super Lawyers associated publications. This high number of lawyers on the lists is especially notable considering the ranking service only names 5 percent maximum of all Minnesota litigators as Super Lawyers, and less than 2.5 percent of the state’s litigators earn a place on the Rising Stars list.

The firm’s Minnesota Super Lawyers list for 2024 includes the following attorneys along with the number of years the designation has been awarded: James Ballentine (retired) (22), Aaron Eken (4), Cole Dixon (2), Paul Godlewski (retired) (26), John Goetz (30), Max Hacker (20), Courtney Lawrence (4), Peter Riley (29), James Schwebel (32), Jessica Servais (1), Alicia Sieben (1), William Sieben (30) and Richard Tousignant (26). While 2024 is the first year that attorneys Alicia Sieben and Jessica Servais received the Super Lawyers designation, Alicia was previously named a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star for 12 consecutive years. Attorneys Aaron Eken, Cole Dixon and Courtney Lawrence also received the Super Lawyers designation for consecutive years and were previously named Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 7 years, 8 years and 10 years, respectively.

The Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Stars list is a separate ranking category for attorneys who have demonstrated high-level service who are not older than 40 or have practiced law for 10 years or less. The firm’s Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2024 are Kojo Addo (3) and Cody Scharpf (3).

Founding partner James Schwebel commented, “It is gratifying to have so many of our attorneys acknowledged for their exceptional talent and service to their clients.”

Newly designated Minnesota Super Lawyer Alicia Sieben elaborated on this success by saying, “It’s a privilege to help families whose lives have been lost or damaged, and to be recognized for doing this work is a great honor.”

Jessica Servais equally shared appreciation for her new designation by saying, “I am honored to be named to the 2024 Minnesota Super Lawyers list for doing what I am passionate about – helping others in their time of need.”

The list published by Super Lawyers is an external review of legal practitioners built on standards similar to Consumer Reports, and has an aggregate Minnesota readership of 354,400 people. Results come from peer nominations, independent research and third- party feedback. The panel evaluates candidates in 12 different categories, such as verdicts, community service, writings and special certifications. The law firm of Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben has been serving the seriously injured for over 50 years, and much of the legal team has practiced law for decades with a combined total of over 500 years of experience fighting for the rights of car accident and personal injury victims.
