Minneapolis, MN – January 2025 – Personal injury law firm Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben announces the promotion of five new partner attorneys: Matt Barber, Cole Dixon, Aaron Eken, Courtney Lawrence and Ali Sieben. Their talent and dedication have been instrumental to upholding the firm’s reputation for excellence in personal injury law and commitment to client advocacy.

Matt Barber joined Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben in 2008 as an office assistant. In 2013, Matt graduated cum laude from the University of North Dakota School of Law. Matt received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of St. Thomas. He has been commended for, among other things, the number and quality of amicus curiae appellate briefs he contributes on behalf of members of the Minnesota Association for Justice. Matt was designated a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star for 5 consecutive years, a distinction awarded to less the 2.5 percent of the state’s litigators. He works on motions and appeals, and his practice includes all aspects of personal injury litigation including car and truck collisions, motorcycle crashes and general liability cases.

Cole Dixon brought his extensive experience to the firm in 2013, dedicating his practice exclusively to representing individuals affected by personal injury. A graduate of the University of South Dakota School of Law, Cole has been recognized as a Certified Civil Trial Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association, a distinction held by fewer than 3% of Minnesota attorneys. He has been designated a Minnesota Super Lawyer for 2 consecutive years, a ranking awarded to 5 percent maximum of all Minnesota litigators, and was named a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star for 8 consecutive years prior. His dedication to justice and client advocacy has earned him a reputation for excellence.

Aaron Eken joined Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben in 2021, bringing a wealth of experience and compassion to his practice. A graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law, Aaron has handled all aspects of personal injury law, bringing more than two dozen cases to jury trial and litigating hundreds more to settlement for his clients. He has been designated a Minnesota Super Lawyer for 4 consecutive years and was named a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star for 7 consecutive years prior. Aaron is acknowledged as one of Minnesota’s leading lecturers in the area of trial practice and insurance law. His commitment to helping individuals who have suffered serious injury is evident in his personalized approach to client representation.

Courtney Lawrence has been with the firm since 2005, starting as a law clerk before graduating cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in 2008. Courtney is determined to help resolve injustices faced by her clients, working diligently to prepare each case and paying particular attention to how accidents have changed lives. She has been designated a Minnesota Super Lawyer for 4 consecutive years and was named a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star for 10 consecutive years prior. Her personable approach and dedication to achieving necessary compensation for her clients have been hallmarks of her practice.

Ali Sieben joined Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben in 2007, bringing a compassionate nature and unique perspective to her practice. A graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, Ali thrives in the personal connections made with her clients and uses her exceptional legal talent to pursue rightful resolutions.

Ali is a member of The International Society of Barristers (ISOB), an invite-only honor society that maintains a worldwide membership of approx. 700 of the most outstanding trial lawyers chosen by their peers on the basis of ability, experience, accomplishments and ethical standards in advocacy.
