Attorneys Courtney Lawrence and Cody Scharpf Secure $385k Trial Verdict

Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben is pleased to report a great trial verdict secured by attorneys Courtney Lawrence and Cody Scharpf this week. Their client was injured in a crash on January 28, 2017 and underwent total hip replacements on both the left and right hips. The client lived with hip pain for three years until he was finally able to get the surgery. The insurance company disputed the hip surgery was related to injuries from the crash and offered $25,000 to settle the case, which was not nearly enough to compensate the injured client for what he had gone through. After a short deliberation, the jury found in favor of the injured client and came back with a verdict of $292,340.03 – over ten times the insurance company’s settlement offer! With the additional interest on the verdict and costs to be paid by the insurance company, the total recovered on our client’s behalf is anticipated to exceed $385,000.
