Press ReleaseNovember 2003
Minneapolis, MN (October 15, 2002) – The law firm of Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben, P.A. is pleased to announce that Larry E. Stern Esq., has been certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA) as a Civil Trial Specialist.
The NBTA, a nonprofit organization founded in 1977, was created in the public interest to help identify lawyers who have achieved a high level of experience, both in and out of the courtroom, and who have demonstrated behavior in accordance with the highest ethical standards. The rigorous certification process an attorney must undertake to become a Certified Civil, Criminal, or Family Trial Attorney includes testimony by a group of peers and judges; documentation of their trial experience; submission of written legal work for review by the NBTA Standards Committee and a daylong written examination. Currently, less than 175 civil attorneys in the state of Minnesota are certified by the NBTA.
Larry Stern graduated from the University of North Dakota Law School in 1977; He has practiced exclusively in criminal and civil litigation. For four years, he served as Chief Assistant State’s Attorney for Cass County, during which time he tried the full range of criminal cases from misdemeanors to felonies. In 1988 Larry joined Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben and since that time has devoted his practice entirely to plaintiff’s personal injury and wrongful death litigation, successfully representing hundreds of clients in a wide variety of cases.
