Peter Riley’s Dedication to Client Advocacy Recognized by 2026 Minnesota Super Lawyers

July 2026

Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben is proud to announce that attorney Peter Riley has been selected for inclusion in the 2026 Minnesota Super Lawyers list, a distinction recognizing outstanding attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.  This is his 31st year being named, which is notable since only 5 percent of all Minnesota litigators are named Super Lawyers.

In practice since 1977, Peter has handled numerous complex personal injury cases and recovered settlements and verdicts totaling tens of millions of dollars.  He treats each client’s problem as his own, keeping them fully informed throughout the legal process and working with his team so every case is handled as quickly and expertly as possible.

“I have been honored to represent thousands of individuals who have been injured and the families of many who have died as a result of negligence in car crashes, medical care, and sale of defective products.  I have learned that corporations and insurance companies are inevitably willing to spend whatever it takes to try to escape responsibility, and I feel fortunate to practice with a firm able to dedicate whatever resources are necessary to vindicate the rights of our clients,” says Peter.

The list published by Super Lawyer is based upon an external review of legal practitioners built on standards similar to Consumer Reports. The list has an aggregate Minnesota readership of 537,209. Results come from peer nominations, independent research, and third-party feedback. The panel evaluates candidates in 12 categories, such as verdicts, community service, writings, and special certifications.

Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben is a Minnesota-based personal injury law firm dedicated to representing individuals and families affected by serious injuries, wrongful death, and other catastrophic losses.  For over 50 years, the attorneys at the firm have had a long history of advocating for clients securing meaningful results on their behalf.
