August 2016

International Society of Barristers LogoMinneapolis, MN – August, 2016Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben is pleased to announce that one of its attorneys, Peter Riley, has been approved for Fellowship in the International Society of Barristers.

This prestigious selection recognizes Peter’s decades-spanning career of hard work on behalf of others. Since beginning practice in the late 1970s, Peter has represented and fought for thousands of victims of wrongful death and personal injury accidents, having recovered multi-million dollar settlements for his clients. His portfolio includes landmark cases that set important precedents for how the modern legal system compensates victims of negligence and defective products.  He has earned the respect and commendation of his peers, having received the Best Lawyers® 2017 Personal Injury “Lawyer of the Year" award in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as well as having been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© since as early as 2004.

Peter Riley said of the designation, “I am delighted to have been chosen for membership in the International Society of Barristers. The members of this group are some of the most talented trial lawyers in the country, and it is an honor to be counted among them.”

The International Society of Barristers was founded to honor those trial lawyers deemed by their professional peers and colleagues to be "outstanding in the field of advocacy." Selection for membership is exclusive, with less than 700 active member lawyers around the world. Riley’s approval for Fellowship in the Society proves that his tireless efforts haven’t gone unnoticed.

Peter Riley continues to advocate for those without a voice, and serves as a beacon for countless others in the field. He is frequently asked to lecture on wrongful death, personal injury and trial management, having taught for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy since 1987 as well as serving on the faculty of both the ABOTA/TIPS National Trial Academy and the ABOTA National Trial College at Harvard Law School.

Above all, Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben is proud Peter Riley is a part of the team. Even if he wasn’t earning international recognition, his constant dedication would be cause for celebration.
