Jim Weinmeyer’s experience in Vietnam shaped his desire to pursue a legal career. A Minneapolis native, Jim spent two years (1968-70) in Danang, Vietnam with the Office of the Navy Staff Judge Advocate. After returning home, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, graduating in 1978.
Since then, Jim has practiced exclusively in civil trials, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He joined Schwebel, Goetz & Sieben in 1988 to concentrate on representing the rights of injured people. Jim is also a retired Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
